All classrooms are air-conditioned as well as the library and computer lab. The P & C association is acknowledged for their fundraising over many years to implement the Cooler Schools Program. All classrooms are equipped with Interactive Whiteboard Technology and high quality sound and DVD systems. The location of Ayr State Primary School is close to the Town Centre and allows easy access to town resources such as the Burdekin Theatre, Library and sporting facilities. The school participates in Inter-school and Community Events. e.g. Eisteddfod - with great results. Facilities - The school has well grassed ovals with a major oval for Years 3-7 and a mini oval in a Year 1-2 area. Two excellent basketball courts are well used by the children. These courts together with a pop-up watering system, have been the result of a very hard working P&C and Tuckshop Committee. Water Coolers - Refrigerated Water Coolers are strategically located throughout the school.
